Spring Valley Rotary started the 2010 New Year by inducting four new members in the months of January and February. A warm Spring Valley welcome to all our new members!
Derek Raper was sponsored by Brian Dunphy and was inducted on January 7th. Derek is a Business Bank with Wachovia and has been in the Northeast most of his life. He looks forward to participating in our Meals on Wheels program and our Rotary Reads program. His hobbies include softball, classic cars and professional sports, baseball and football. Derek is a graduate of the Leadership Columbia program and is married to Rachel.

James Manning was sponsored by Eleanor Kellett and he was inducted on January 28th. James is a Network Security Administrator with the SC Budget and Control Board. He and his wife Donna have one 4-year-old child. His special Rotary interests are education and community development. In his spare time James enjoys home repair, gardening and obviously, computers!

Cindy McGee was sponsored by Babbie Jaco and she was inducted on February 4th. She is a Relationship banker for First Citizens Bank on Clemson Road and has worked in the banking industry for 25 years. She is the current treasurer of the Windemere Women’s Club. She and her husband Tommy have two grown children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys playing golf, reading and spending time with her grandkids.

Ron Tryon was sponsored by David Boucher and he was inducted on February 11th. Ron was an active member of our club from 1989 through 2005. He was a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Foundation Benefactor, Past President (1995-96), Past District 7770 Secretary and Assistant District Governor. He was originally sponsored by member Vic Murdaugh. Ron is an attorney and is the Managing Partner for Park, Poe, Adams & Bernstein. He is married to Sally and has two children. In his spare time he enjoys youth soccer, fishing and spending time with his family.
